GamePit by Jamk thanks for the year 2025!

🎀 Gameful holiday wishes and a warm thank you for the past year 🎀

The year 2025 has been rewarding and full of events for us. Once again, GamePit by Jamk has served as the heart of the gaming sector at Jamk University of Applied Sciences – a place where people have met, learned, and developed on many different levels.

Through the Digibuusti! project, elderly have found their way to digital gaming and to our gaming facility. Student wellbeing has been supported through gaming in the Gaming Skills for Studies project as well as in the Play Together afternoons open to all students at our UAS.

Electronic sports have also been part of our journey through various student activities, tournaments, and the Kanaliiga corporate league. A better future for esports has been built through the eVAVE Coaching Network project, which brought together developers of Finnish esports coaching.

Career paths to game industry have been paved through the Game Track project, supporting both emerging developers aiming for the industry and the development of the local game ecosystem. Our strong expertise in game and XR technologies has also been taken to international, multidisciplinary arenas through the LEAPXR project, which combines healthcare and XR technologies.

It has been been a exciting ride, so now it’s time to rest. The GamePit by Jamk team is taking a short break to gather around game consoles and christmas treats, and to turn the page from the old year to the new. We’ll continue in January! 🍬⛄️
