Jamk launches new gametech and esports project initiatives
Jamk University of Applied Sciences has established itself as a strong and respected research, development, and innovation (RDI) actor in the game and esports sector in Central Finland. Jamk’s expertise spans broadly across esports and game technologies, as well as related digital communication and the community and business dimensions of the gaming industry.

The Center of Expertise in Esports in Central Finland Project (2023–2025) has acted in a significant role in developing the regional esports landscape and has strengthened the region’s capability to respond to the rapidly evolving digital gaming industry. As this project concludes this spring, a number of new development projects co-funded by the European Union are already underway.
Three brand-new projects play a key role both in the regional development of Central Finland and in enriching and advancing the content of the CoEsports.gg website. The CoEsports platform, established through the CoE project, will continue to serve as an increasingly robust knowledge base and community forum for the gaming industry—combining both research insights and practical applications across esports and game technology domains.
The accompanying content cards provide an overview of our new game and esports RDI projects. The project info pages gradually reveal the goals, work packages, and regional impacts of these emerging initiatives. You will also find contact details for project experts on the info pages—they are happy to answer any further questions!
