Educational institutions taking part in the development of the esports industry
ESPORTS STUDIES IN CENTRAL FINLAND
On this page, you will find degree programs and elective courses related to the gaming industry and esports. The studies are available at different levels of education in Central Finland.
The local institutions offering esports studies are Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia, Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Jyväskylä. For more information, please visit the respective institutions’ websites.
The mentioned institutions enable the combination of studies and esports, regardless of the field of study – Esports team activities, event and media production, marketing, and other projects for example.
Through Coesports, work-life-oriented projects are carried out under the guidance of key corporate partners. Project commissions come from entities such as ENCE, Elisa, Jyväskylä esports association, and EXEN esports.

At Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, the expertise in esports is multidisciplinary and of high quality.
We provide students with top-notch facilities for team activities, work-life-oriented projects, internships, and theses related to the field of esports.
Gradia
Gradia offers the opportunity to complete a local qualification module as part of studies for anyone interested in esports, regardless of their field of study.
In addition to developing expertise in esports, participants also organize the internal Gradia Cup tournament.

WORKING LIFE COOPERATION
AcquirING new expertise through ENCE collaboration.
The field of esports in Finland is being developed through the institutional collaboration between ENCE and Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences. The collaboration involves meaningful study content tailored for students, InnoFlash assignments, project studies, guest speakers, and esports events organized around the GamePit Pro gaming space.
